In addition to the New Mexico Department of Public Education (NM PED), the Santa Fe Public Schools Board of Education (BOE) makes policy decisions for our schools. The BOE also appoints members to the following committees, which make recommendations to the BOE. Parents, guardians, and community members may attend meetings and speak or watch live online or a recording, at their convenience. Agendas and meeting minutes may also be accessed online. Please contact your BOE member if you are interested in serving on a committee for SFPS.
SFPS Board of Education - members are elected by citizens in their district - meets twice a month
SFPS Study Sessions - meets as scheduled by the Board of Education
Audit Committee - meets once a month
Community Review Committee (CRC) - meets once a month
Superintendent's Diversity & Equity Committee - meets every quarter
School Advisory Councils (SAC) - meets once per quarter or as needed - open to families, school staff and community members. Contact the school’s principal for more information.
Parent Organizations (PTA/PTO/PTSC, etc) - generally meets once a month or as needed, open to families, school staff and community members. If the school’s parent organization is not listed on their website, please contact the school office for contact information.
